So this is what it's like to be completely in love with life.

I've been in this sort of ridiculously good mood lately and so I've been writing happy, in love with life poetry. So here's two since Leni gave me the annoying prod. There's one more really long one in my CAD book but I'm not going to get that today.

Uncertain Street Corners

You've never met me
But every night I come face to face with you
My perfect dream
In my mind, my heart
You are more beautiful than a sunrise
Simplicity and grandeur melded into life
Everything and nothing
Your eyes contradict your smile
Which speaks against your hands
Clutching mine with every ounce of strength
And your flesh against my own is the greatest expression
Of everything I've tried to say
BEcause I've been speaking yo you from the ages
And still you haven't heard my voice.
Your lilting tone is the soundtrack to my life
I walk the streets
Nights and in the rain
Looking for you.
I think I saw your face around a corner
But then you stepped out of the streetlight
And disappeared
So I've never met you
But every night I sleep wrapped in your embrace.

Purple Sky

How much cheese you you eat when the sky turns purple?
I didn't know it could matter.
But if I could buy myself a friend
A dollar apiece
We could sit around the table
And tell stories abbout when we could see the moon
And not eat any cheese I guess.
Eventually our time will be over
The sky will fall around us
And the world would end
But we'd hold hands
And watch our infinite purple sky
Never minding our last meal.
