The Life and Times of Alyssa... will bore you to death
Wednesday: Stopped at places I applied at to see if they were actually hiring, bought Dad a bday card, went to modeling class (got partnered up w/ a guy), started on my journey home. Got a tad lost, got directions from Danny, got to Rach’s, what a bitch trying to find parking, Lauren visited, ate ice cream, pics w/ Rach, lots of laughs, "Say, ‘Malaria!’"
Thursday: Had lunch w/ Rach on campus, got sunburned, left a little later than planned. Left arm got sunburned more. Fuel light came on while going thru SLO so got gas. Atown: bought film, let Anna mess w/ Jake and pretend my car was hers (pretty funny as he called Anna an "ass"), met up w/ Kati and saw lil Adelaide (aww! How cute! Got a pic of Adelaide sleeping). Sorta surprised Mom but not as Tio ruined things by accidentally saying "So, have you seen Alyssa yet?" when Mom called him. Anna and I hadn’t eaten dinner, so made mad dash to Vons then to McDonald’s for a late dinner (10 p.m.!) I must’ve been starving cuz it actually tasted great.
Friday: Met up w/ Jake and Anna for lunch at Taco Bell. While there, got call from Fossil for a group interview. I said Tuesday option would be good, then bitched after hanging up as Fossil was not one of the stores I revisited on Wed. ... Mom got off work early, so we went buy Kati and Adelaide gifts. I got some more undies :) Saw Tio’s house (ooo! Looking fab!), dropped gifts for Kati off at her house. Anna worked (1st day of 1st job) later than expected, so Mom and I went out to dinner w/o her. Mexican food. It also tasted good. ... Late night random driving w/ Anna and Jake, then to SLO at 12:30 to hang w/ pals. Weird night, boring night. I hope to never get wasted again - a wish made after seeing the girl I’d picked up along w/ my pals just look ridiculous. Drove home at 3:30 (don’t worry, I hadn’t had anything to drink).
Saturday: More shopping w/ Mom but in SLO this time after a small lunch. Jake, Anna, Tio, Mom and I went to AJ’s for Mom’s bday dinner. Turns out Tio had called up Alma to join us. Cool. Bugged pal I’d hung w/ night before who works there. 2 margaritas w/ my delicious grilled halibut then had an after-dinner liqueur (Tan Ferrari). Good stuff.
Sunday: Did not want to wake up. Planned to head back between 3 and 4, but didn’t ended up leaving around 5:30 as Stargate SG-1 came on at 4. :)
Monday: Marta and Jorge went to the hospital for Marta’s induced labor. Went to Chaffey to apply. Got confused when I went to counseling office to set up appointment I won’t actually need since I won’t have to take placement tests as I’ve done stuff at another college. I’m still confused. I started writing this yesterday but didn’t post as Jorge kept randomly calling the house to talk w/ my Tia Marta (well, she’s his tia too) who was taking care of the twins.
Tuesday (today): Fossil group interview at 2. Eh. Tried to switch it yesterday so I could see a Cal Poly Pomona rep who’s going to be at Chaffey today. However, wasn’t able to switch. I also gotta do something else, but I’m so not in the mood to go anywhere. I’m tired. Ooo, a new pope. People are cheering as if he were a rock star. Whatever. Mom is coming down for a conference in Long Beach. She might try to visit me tonight. Hope she can. .. Ick, Dad is trying to get over here today to do something. I have a major desire to not see him. For a long, long time. ... I have no food. I’ve now become Rachel. :) ... Interview went well, and maybe it wouldn’t be so bad to work there. Mom called and two minutes later lady from Fossil called. I’m going back for a one-on-one interview Friday. Hm, maybe this means I’ll be getting a job? We’ll see. ... Meeting Mom in Arcadia for dinner. I’ll leave at 6. It’s 5:37 now. ... Seeing Mom was nice. She even bought me a few groceries. I love my mom, and I miss her already. If I didn’t have class tomorrow I could’ve stayed w/ her in Long Beach. She was happy I got to visit Atown.
