So yeah, it's been somewhere in the neighborhood of a week since I've posted, so why not. Besides it's 10:35 on a friday night and I'm bored. Well first of all I'd like to welcome Bridget to the party. Last week (since my last post)was pretty uneventful for the most part. I was bored so I went to a job interview for a job that I had no intention of taking. The dude looked like a gay walrus w/ barely enough hair to keep parts of his scalp warm. Really had to fight off the urge to laugh as soon as I saw him, but at least I was able to keep some self control there.
Found out last week my buddy Jeff moved up his wedding because "it was too long of an engagement". Sure, okay Jeff. Funniest part about this whole thing is that I never found this out from Jeff. Happened to run into his mom after I finished w/ the aforementioned job interview. Don't think he liked my joke of "How far along is she?". heh. I'm sorry, this whole thing just makes me laugh as they try to move everything up from March all the way up to October. Yes, that's right. Five months getting moved up basically on a whim. *shrugs* Oh well, not my problem. Not sure if Jeff's announced his groomsmen and all that, but if he has I haven't heard it. So...yeah, that might be a very good thing for Jeff AND for me.
Anyway, onto the good thing that happened this week. Got to go over to St. Louis with Bridget to watch the Cardinals game on Wednesday. Now first of all I think I told some of you that I was heading out on Tuesday. I looked at my calendar wrong and forgot about that whole 31st day last month and thought Tuesday was Wednesday. Anyway, got up to her place pretty easily by I think 4ish and we headed over without a bit of problem except for one very minor missed turn. But a five minute detour and we were right back where we needed to be. Parked right across from the stadium w/out having to worry about anything. Game time temperature was about 98 degrees and ended at 94. Yeah, real big cold snap there lol. The game really wasn't that great since they lost 16-8, but they got to 8-7 and we thought they really had a chance to come back until 8 runs over two innings killed THAT hope. Stupid bullpen.
Woke up the next morning (Yes, it was actually morning) went out to the mall and surprised Eric's wife. She informed me that if I hurried I could get out to actually see Eric during his lunch hour, and he was just as surprised to see me. Kind of a "What the heck are YOU doing here?" look. After that, just grabbed some Quizno's (Cuz 'we love da subs!') and drove home. Made a small detour and picked up my comics which was definitely a good thing.
Have to throw in a very minor gripe here. I realize this is going to sound dumb, but like I said it's a minor gripe. Today Dad wanted to go to a funeral 20 minutes away. Okay, he knows the guy related to the person who died. Understandable. Anyway, he asked me if I wanted to go. Personally I'd been in a car for the better part of two days, I just wanted to stay home, crash on the couch and stretch out and politely decline. Two minutes later I hear "Why don't you come along with me". So basically I was given the ability to make a choice until my choice didn't agree w/ what he wanted me to do. Lovely. Just great. Really. Ah well, it's over. Still, kind of an annoyance for the day.
All right, well I think I've unloaded all I need to unload. Lookin' forward to seeing everyone at the U so take it easy.
