"---no, Esther, I don't think we'll be putting up Star of David wallpaper." Sara walks into the Inn, talking on her cell phone. "But thanks for the suggestion." She listens for a minute, laughing briefly, before telling her caller goodbye

And there is Faith, trotting over to join them.

"Hi Sara! Baby's getting big, isn't it?"

"Yeah, she is. She's started moving." Sara grins. "What've you been up to?"

[faithful_slayer]

"Killed somebody to protect a friend and accidentally prevented a massive civil war. You?"

[lvpd_sidle]

"..............care to give me context?"

By this point, Collins has gleefully abandoned the papers.

"Uhm. I went and visited a friend of mine in his world because my boyfriend got possessed by a hyena and I didn't want it to rape me or anything. And while I was there this guy came over and was all 'be my minion or I kill everything you love.' So I cut his throat open. And it turns out that he was this genocidal maniac, and in some futures of his world there were hundreds, maybe thousands of deaths that he caused. So."

Most parental-type figures would probably be disturbed after hearing something like that (and of course, Sara is making a mental note to track down the hyena). However, instead of reacting with fear or concern, Sara gives her a satisfied look.

"That's my girl." Beat. "So what was his name?"

"The badguy, you mean? Uh. Value-mart, I think. Or something like that."

[lvpd_sidle]

"Voldemort?" Now that is a Very Impressed look on Sara's face. "Sirius told me about him and about his own relative coming in from a different dimension. Good job."

"Voldemort?" Collins asks softly. He snorts after Sara finishes explaining. "Sounds like a careless Hitler wannabe."

"Just without the concentration camps."

"Yeah, it's Sirius' boyfriend I was visiting. They were real nice to me. I think they decided to kinda adopt me, except not legally."

[lvpd_sidle]

"There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. You'll always have a home with us, but there's no reason not to have a home elsewhere." Sara pats her shoulder. "I hear your ninja training is going well."

[faithful_slayer]

"Oh, yeah! Check this out."

Faith walks up the wall, sits down on the ceiling, and waves.

"Nice!"

Faith grins and drops into a chair next to Sara.

"It's pretty fun. I can walk on water too."

".............I'm not going to even talk about how physically impossible that is."

"Considering the existence of this place--"

"---like I said, I'm not going to talk about it."

Faith giggles. "The laws of physics cannot contain me! Or something. It doesn't work in my world, though."

"Oh well. Neat party trick here, if nothing else."
