Jarvis isn't far behind them, since... well. Who else would Pepper actually take as a date?
"...Sir, haven't you had enough of those for one night?"

"Psh. I've only had two. Stop being such a spoil-sport, Jarvis." He waves a hand and takes a sip. "Besides, if I have to put up with not only politicians, but the lovebirds tonight, I need a stiff drink."

Pepper sighs, and subconsiously leans a bit on Jarvis. "I have to say, sir, this was your bright idea."

Jarvis puts an arm around Pepper. "Indeed. We might have just as easily stayed home."
And anyway, who said Tony had to hang around the two of them all night?

Tony makes a face and shrugs. "Well, this place had better not keep us all night. I don't want to lose any chance of..."

Pepper cuts him off before he can finish his sentance. "I think we all know what you want tonight, sir." She sighs. "However, it might be more prudent not to in your current state." ... someone's been talking to Jarvis a bit much.

"And if you drink much more, I doubt you'll be capable anyway."
A bit blunt, perhaps, but Tony should expect nothing less of his own creation.

"Psh. I've done it drunker than this." Tony crosses his arms. "But if I'm here much longer, I'll lose my chance."

Pepper just sighs. There are things about her boss that she knows that she would much rather not.

"Whatever you say, sir."
How about he goes back to DC, and Jarvis and Pepper just... stay here?
