Jane, it seems, is in the gift-giving mood. The first one she presents Jarvis with isn't all that unusual, all things considered. But the second... the second........... Well. He's... just gonna stare at it for a while, thanks.
Pepper is about as far from the Christmas mood as she can get. Cleaning up after a senator, an ex-gubernator, and twenty models' worth of purging has not put Pepper in the best of moods. However, as she walks through the door that should take her to her sanctuary in the house's attic, a smile actually crosses her face.
Kicking off her heels, she curls up in a sofa, ordering a very dry martini, which appears with four olives. "Thanks, Jane." Maybe eventually, she'll notice the two boxes on the coffee table in front of her. Or perhaps notice her boyfriend.
He'll realise she's there eventually. He's still a bit... sidetracked by the book, to say the least. (For one thing, he's definitely got more use for it than anyone would have ever expected...)
Eventually, Pepper glances at the table, eyeing the packages. "Jane, what're you up to?" Reaching over, she opens the twopackages and stares at the green silk... things they contained. "Um... thank you, Jane? I think?"
That actually gets Jarvis to look over. After a few moments of taking in the situation, he facepalms. "She's trying to tell us something, I suspect. Or encouraging us, one of the two."
Pepper sighs. "Oh, dear." She facepalms. "I really don't want to know what's going through her head with these. Then again, is it even possible to understand Jane?"
"If it is, I'm not at all sure I want to ask, all things considered." Particularly those in conjunction with the book. The message would appear to be straightforward, but why she seems to think they really need the encouragement... he's not sure he wants to know.
