Careful, the door is sticking.

Something's wrong with the door. Tony Stark is a certifiable genius, but, honestly, this is his first actual thought upon arriving. You try opening your garage doors and stepping into a hotel lobby. Naturally, alarm follows. Tony's second thought is actually a rush of many panicked thoughts, such as, Where the hell is/are my

It would be too easy, in the narration's estimation, to start with someone Tony would know. So instead, he gets a guy at a table doing a problem set.
(Yes, this is what Cosmo does for fun. When he's not doing it for homework, anyway; then, his fun gets a little unorthodox.)
Odds are there is a bar in there somewhere, since Tony wouldn't be the first or the last to expect one.

While making his way through the hotel, Tony sees not the man but the problem set and is, at once, intrigued. He may try to keep that side of himself hidden, but once a math geek, always a math geek. He makes his way over the table but stays back, looming just a bit, trying to solve the problem in his head.

Before long, the looming catches Cosmo's attention. It's one of those things.
"Um. Hi. Can I help you?"

(OOC: Meant to mention last night, but - Cosmo hit me with the doozy that he's a fan of the Iron Man comics. I don't know if it'll come up in conversation, but... just so you know. XD)

((Haha, I can't say I blame him, the comics are great.))

Tony raises an eyebrow. "Huh? No, sorry. I was just, uh," he waves his hands at the problem set, "Just caught my attention, that's all."

He's about to just take that as it is - but then he notices the path of the gesture.
"Higher math doesn't just catch people's attention. And since you haven't run away yet, I'm guessing it made some kind of sense."
Cosmo is on firmer ground here! He can deal with math-geek social interaction; it's just most other kinds (especially the kind with girls in) that tend to trip him up.

Tony nods. "Well, I don't sit around solving math problems for fun, but I can hold my own." He conveniently leaves out the part about spending most of his time in his workshop applying his engineering skills to the improvement of his cars, his A.I. system, a flying suit of impenetrable armor, etc.

"To be fair, this is only what I do for fun when I'm not at school. It's less fun when it's homework, and anyway, school's got the computer lab."
Mostly, it seemed like a better idea at the moment than sulking about how he's not at the concert of a lifetime, and how he'll probably hear all about said concert when he gets back to school (whether Marty was actually there or not).
