"Plotting somebody's prank-induced doom, or doing schoolwork?"

Fortunately -- or unfortunately -- James has been working long enough that his brain has metaphorically dribbled out of his ears. He's rather tired, and will mentally gawk later.

"Hullo, Lily. It's mostly school work, but Padfoot has me working on a side project for a friend of his." There are many factors to account for when using magic safely on Muggles for more than two or three charms.

"Oh, you're helping Sara? Yes, he's consulted with me as well. Charms, you know."

[firstpotter]

"That's the one, yes. Seems like a lovely lady and what happened to her friend was rather tragic."

[charminglioness]

"Agreed."

Lily sits down and props her feet up on the table.

"D'you know something, James? I think we've actually managed to become friends. Isn't that odd?"

[firstpotter]

"Rather odd. It never occurred to me that a braggart was unappealing in your eyes." He smiles a little before looking back at the parchment before him.

[charminglioness]

"Well, it was inevitable that it would occur to you eventually. Stupidity has never been your besetting sin."

Lily eyes the parchment as well.

"Anything I can help you with?"

[firstpotter]

"Do you mind checking to be certain I have remembered all factors required to safely to multiple charms on Muggles?"

[charminglioness]

"Not at all."

Lily takes the parchment and reads it over, eyebrows rising as she does.

"Yes, it looks like it's all there. Well-written, too."

[firstpotter]

"I'm not just a charming face," he says dryly. "I earned all of my OWLs."

[charminglioness]

"I have thought many things about you over the years, James, but never that you were stupid," Lily assures him.
