Ben died approximately two months ago (Give or take, depending on if one is referring to Inn time or his own world's time), but he doesn't remember the two months that he's been dead during. He doesn't even remember dying at the moment

He's been trying to catch a nap on one of the many couches the Inn has to offer, but it seems to be failing him quite a bit at the moment.
Especially at the flash of a camera, the sound of a voice.
Chase thinks he might very well be halfway to unconsciousness. But it doesn't stop him from standing, moving, and, well, Ben, you might just get on good Aussie kiss right then and there.
How's that for a 'oh-my-god-you're-back-welcome-back' present?

Ah, well.
He deepens the kiss and slips his free hand back into Chase's hair.
Right now in this embrace. It feels like he's been gone forever. Far, far too long.

One of his arms wraps around the photographer's middle, and the other lifts to rest gently against the side of his neck, fingers applying minimal pressure, perhaps to make sure Ben was real.
He presses into the kiss until his lungs are burning for air and he breaks it, breath quick. "I love you."
Chase isn't one to spout the words so easily, but this? A moment for those, definitely.

"And I love you." It's not hard for him to read that there's something more there in the words and the very intensity of the moment so quick, but he doesn't know what.
It would really help if he could remember the last two weeks.
"But why do I get this constant feeling that I'm missing something?"

He knows Ben died. That was certain, horribly definite.
"You don't remember, do you?" His words are quiet.
He has a feeling Ben might've been acting a little differently if he knew. But none of that matters too much. Ben is here. Ben is here, healthy (well, all things considered) and that is all that matters.

"Actually, the last couple of weeks are kind of in this giant haze for me right now. Little things keep popping back up, but..."
He shrugs a little, studying Chase's face and wrinkling his nose. "It's really weird. Like being high or something not that I'd know what that's like. Being the good kid that I am and all." Innocent grin.

Nodding his head, Chase slips his fingers back into his own hair, pushing it back out of his face. He's keeping his offended cheek turned away from Ben as much as possible.
"You... got very sick." He hopes that says it all, because even though Ben is right there, smiling, being adorable, it still has a burn at the edges.

It does.
Ben nods. "Leukemia came back and now- Well, that explains why I can't remember anything for the last two weeks." He raises his eyebrows at Chase. "Has it been only two weeks?"
Please, oh, please, oh please-
Ben notices every little mark on Chase's gorgeous face so it's not long before he notices the bruise and reaches out to touch his cheek softly. "And who the hell hit you?" There's a slight protective tone to his voice and then he's right back into joking. " Get an abusive boyfriend after I went?"
Joking about his death. He's something else.

Chase is about to speak again but the fingertips against his cheek and the other's words stop him. The hint of a smile he was holding takes a turn of bitterness.
"I just got into an argument---" Something in Chase tells him he should be a little upset at that comment (so a pointed looks is given briefly), but he just rolls his eyes. Ben would be Ben. And that always seemed to make things better.
"Definitely. A big bloke, y'know." A small grin.

Ben tilts his head to the side, keeping his fingertips just below the bruise on Chase's face.
"One helluva an arguement." He flashes Chase a smile at that. "Well. I'm sure I can take him." There's a bit of knuckle cracking.

Chase had been sure he was right, and he was! He honestly was, saving the patient from House's absurd amputation method.
This. This is how he was repaid?
Don't mind if there's a slightly brief, bitter look on his face. It'll fade quickly, though.
"I don't know about that..." Smirk.

What?
He's been dead.
He can't go kiss happy?
"What? I could totally take him. What is he like 6'4"? Bodybuilder? In that case, I'm afraid you're screwed. And not in the good way."
Reply
"And how do you know that? I might very well be the good way."
He's teasing lightly, because this sort of banter? He hasn't had it in a long while.
Reaching one hand up, he brushes his fingertips against Ben's cheek and lips before placing a kiss to both.
It was good to have him back, definitely.

Oh, yes, this is such a serious response.
Smirk.
"Mm. So are you opposed to sleeping with a dead guy or can we get it on already?"
Reply
At sight of the smirk, his own flares back up onto pretty lips and he'll shrug.
Only Ben could say that and still come off in any sort sexy.
"You," He starts but only shakes his head again, "are ridiculous." And there will be a kiss placed to the corner of Ben's lips, missing on purpose. Because that's his way of nicely, neatly saying 'bring it on'.

He slips his hand over Chase's and tugs him along.
Ben looks sideways at him. "I am sorry for dying by the way."
