He accepts the cup with a sort of surprised calm. "So, are you a wizard?"
The alternative is that she is a fae. And if so, he isn't going to drink the tea, because you don't eat or drink anything in Faerie. Even the youngest wizard apprentice knows that.

"I've been here," she pauses to work out how long it's been. "A few months, I believe. It's difficult to keep track, sometimes. I haven't been able to leave - the Door won't show for me."
