Of dead team members, Slitheen eggs, and ridiculous foot chases...
Jack is not looking his best when he walks in. It's not anything about him physically that's really changed - though there is a bit of blood spattered on his face and coat and hands, none of it his. It's his expression, dark and closed-off, and rather pained.
It's not like he's not used to this sort of thing. But he can't stop thinking about Suzie's first day on the job, the first alien she ever saw, the first time she used the glove...
And his head is killing him.
He's so preoccupied, as he slams the door behind him, barely taking notice of the fact that he's not in the Hub but the Inn, that he doesn't notice the Doctor, sitting at a table and lecturing what appears to be... an egg sitting on the table in front of him. An egg with an awful lot of gently waving tentacles, but an egg nevertheless. The lecture seems to be focused on not killing people, not ending the world (Earth or any others)... the usual.
And there's Angua. She's currently passed out on a couch, because she stumbled into the Inn after a particularly exhausting foot chase through the city. And she had to do the whole thing as a human, because the stupid man was wearing some sort of silver pendant around his neck and frankly, she'd rather he didn't realize she was that copper. The werewolf one.
Last time she does that, silver be damned.
