Max flops down on Fiona's couch, giving her a grin.

"So the pretty lady's an artist, too?" It's not quite a drawl. "Good, artists are my favorite kinda people."

Fiona looks up and grins at him. "An artist? Not me. This is just sketching, that's all. My talents are elsewhere."

Suggestive grin? Surely you jest.

He gives Fiona a mostly-innocent look. "Yeah? Do tell." He's a little disappointed about the not-being-an-artist thing, but shh.

"I think I demonstrated that before, hmm?"

"Well, yeah, but doesn't hurt to do it again." He gives Fiona a smirk.

Fiona grins at him. It was so nice to be properly appreciated. It was one of the best things about coming here. Jack, Max - they both knew how to treat a girl just right.

"Hmmm. Well. Maybe. If you're lucky."

"Anything I can do to make myself lucky?" That grin isn't going away. "Like, uh, I dunno. Rabbit foot? Rain dance? Maybe we could get drunk?"

"How about dinner and drinks?" Fiona leans in, playfully. "And then maybe a dance or two."

"Dinner and drinks, huh?" He puts on a mock-serious look, considering this. "I think I can do that. Do I have to dress nice?"

Fiona eyes him, very obviously. "I think you look just fine."

"Well, that's good to know." The grin is back, impish and smirky and just, well, Max. He runs a hand over his chin, speculatively. "Might shave, though. Tonight? Tomorrow night? When are we talking about, here?"
