Teppic finally decided he should go back to Djelibeybi for a while There's only so much one can do around the inn, particularly when most of that is putting off... unpleasant matters.
But it's been a long couple of weeks, as are most weeks that include Dios, and he's never going to turn down a door to the inn. He needs his sanity breaks.
So, he's at a table, eating a sandwich* and people-watching.
*The sandwich does not contain any chicken whatsoever. That's another reason Teppic was particularly glad to see the inn tonight.
