Ever since the Music left the Inn, Alexander Molokov has all but disappeared from sight. He hasn't left - that door remains steadfastly shut despite all his efforts - he's just been Elsewhere, Away From People.

But even KGB agents can't stay out of hiding forever, and so he's ventured into the lobby, clean but unshaven, on his way to the kitchen. He could think something up, it's true, but he wants - he needs the ritual of preparing food. It's calming and it makes sense as very few things here do.
