"Entertaining in a decent way, or in a 'this is so bad it's funny' way?" She can't help being a bookworm, especially not with the massive library here.
"Adjusting..." She smiles and makes herself a cup of green tea. "I love the people I've met here, especially Angel." She does, after all, want to learn how to sew better than she can. Closing wounds is hardley on par with making a dress. "The two other girls, Buffy and Faith, are going to be fun to coah as well."
"Originally...." his voice goes soft, reflective, "we met once in a place kind of like this, outside of time and normal rules. Talked, pretty well fell for each other there, but had to leave. After a while....I thought he was a dream."
He clears his throat. "Met up again about four years later after I'd gotten mugged."
She's gone a bit starry-eyed. "It sounds like you two were made for each other, then. I wish I could say the same about Sasuke..." She frowns, shakes her head, and smiles again.
"Sickness?" Now she's curious. There are few diseases in her world that she doesn't know about, and as a medic in training, expanding the knowledge base is incredibly important.
"There are medications, but like I said, no cure. Not yet, anyway. Mostly what the medicines do is try to prolong a person's life, but it can't be done indefinitely." Ignore the roughness in his voice. "It's not an airborne contagion, at least."
"Is the book good?"

She sets out a bunch of teas, small cakes, and other eadibles on the coffee table.
"Care for anything?"

"How many years has it been since then?"

Death obviously isn't ballsy enough to come between them for long.

"Do you mind telling me what it was? Is?"

"That sounds horrible to live with! How do people manage? Are there medications available? Cures being developed?"
If she lived in the same world, she'd be going nuts trying to find a cure.
