Let the music take your mind...

The sight of River swaying to her own beat is normal.

The sight of River sitting at the piano, playing something instrumental* is completely new. And she's good.

Feel free to listen, or to come say hello.

*Said intrumental is from River's time and world and probably won't be familiar to anyone not from there.

Fiona leans against her chair, listening. There's something stirring, something inspiring about the music.

River notices Fiona listening before long has passed. She glances over with a grin.

"Enjoying the music?" Not that she really needs to ask. Of course she's enjoying it.

"I am! That sounds amazing."

Fiona grabs a chair and pulls it over to the piano. As she listens, her fingers begin to tap out a rhythm against her side.

[OOC: Reposted (again) because I messed up the coding.]

River smirks and launches into something a little older, maybe a little more familiar, and more importantly, something with words to sing.

It's been a hard day's night
And I've been working like a dog

Her voice is excellent, but then, that goes without saying.

OOC: Those gorram hex codes...

Now, here's some music one can get their teeth into. Fiona starts tapping out the beat with her foot, her eyes closed in concentration.

At some point, she'll join in at the chorus. As she was meant to do, because this feeling in her must be shared.

River's thrilled to hear Fiona singing with her. The more voices, the better.

"You sound great," she says, grinning, as she finishes the song off. "Any requests?"

"Oh, thank you," Fiona says carelessly. Of course she's great. There's no doubt about that. "You're awesome, too, you know."

She leans back in her chair, thinking. "Hmm. I can't think of anything in particular - we could just jam?"

"Of course." And her fingers start moving across the keys, no plan or product in mind, but every note sounds good.
The magic's in the music and the music's in me
