"Kaylee! And....Kay-let!"

"Wash!" Kaylee beams and kisses his cheek. "Thank you so much. Look, isn't he just beautiful?"

Kaylee likes showing off her baby.

"He is. It's a he? What's his name?"

"Has Simon married you yet?"

"Gabriel and we're plannin' on it soon as we've got time on Persephone."

Baby Gabriel gets a kiss on the head.

"'Gabriel?'"

How like Simon, says Wash's expression.

"Better than Hoban, at least!"

"Just a bit, yeah," she smiles fondly. "But you wear it well."

She cuddles Gabriel to her chest a bit. "So what's been going on?"

"One of my friends here took me to Earth-That-Was."

Her face falls quite a bit, because... well. She misses Gordon like hell.

"He died," she says softly, looking down and picking at the fabric of Gabriel's sling. "I went back with him to... to be there. When it happened."
