Oh, fantastic...

Sometimes, entrances do not begin with an opening door.

Sometimes, they begin with a low-pitched whirring (which doesn't entirely describe the sound, but it's impossible to understand unless you've heard it anyway) and a flashing blue light ( Read more... )

Rose would hear that sound if she were five miles away. It probably comes, partially, from travelling in the TARDIS - she can practically feel that it's close.

So, of course, she pulls on a pair of jeans that shows up conveniently and one of Jack's shirts (too much trouble to get back into the pink getup that took them so long to get her out of) and scrambles out and downstairs as quick as she can. Jack's a heavy sleeper, apparently.

And then she sees him. Him. Her Doctor, as he hasn't looked since the Game Station.

So... sorry, Doctor, but you have a blonde throwing herself at you and latching on... rather tightly.

"Doctor!"

The Doctor had really not been expecting that.

He frowns and steps back, shaking her off him - or at least, tries to. He discovers she's clinging a bit too tightly to be shaken off, so what really happens is that he takes a step back and bumps into the TARDIS, while Rose remains attached to him.

That worked well.

"Hello. Do I know you?"

Oh.

Well.

Maybe he doesn't recognize the top of her head?

She lets go and steps back a little, straightening the shirt that is way too big for her. "It's me. Rose."

This is her sadface, Doctor.

Cue the Doctor's confused face.

He doesn't recognize her. Or the name, so he's fairly sure she's not someone he should know...

So, naturally, he settles for the logical course of action and... repeats himself. "And do I know you?"

He had been reading (as it's become a habit of his now) when he heard the all-too-familiar sounds of the TARDIS. There's momentary fear when he hears them, but he's quick to remember there are multiple regenerations of himself here.

And look! This must be a new one! He definitely doesn't look anything like his past selves, so this one must be ahead of him. He stands and approaches with caution.

"It gives you a hard time, too, eh?" Five offers a smile, giving the TARDIS a good pat.

"Especially lately," the Doctor says, still frowning at the TARDIS. "I think she may be upset with me. Can't imagine why."

And then he actually realizes who's talking to him. Actually, what he notices first is that it's another Time Lord, which is a shock enough. And then he realizes it's... him. From long ago.

"Oh! Hello, you!"

"She seems to be upset with me majority of the time, so I'm not too sure I could help you out with that one. So sorry."

His TARDIS never seems to take him where he needs to be.

There's a smile given when the other finally realizes who he's talking to. Five might be a bit more alarmed to find out the other was a Doctor if he hadn't already been exposed to himself.

"Hello, there. Beyond trouble with the TARDIS, how have travels been?"

"I remember that!" he says, still grinning brightly. Meeting himself is... well, not a new thing, certainly, but still interesting, and fun.

He leans back against the TARDIS, studying the other Doctor for a moment. "Oh, you know. Near-death, all the usual," he answers with a smile. And loneliness. But he's been lonely since the end of the Time War, so that's nothing new.me

((OOC: Slow time like woah. Obviously. Sadly. *sigh*))

Logan is standing near-ish the man and the blue box.

His arms are folded and he's not looking very happy.

He has no right to be miffed, because it isn't as if his name is on the spot, but damnit... it's an entire box this time. Not just a vampire.

((OOC: Slow time is perfectly fine. ♥))

The Doctor is apparently oblivious to the man's annoyance. But then, he's oblivious to a lot of things, some of them pretty damn obvious.

"Hello!" he says cheerfully. "Been a while since I've seen this place, hasn't changed a bit. Even if I have."

"Right." Aka 'Don't know. Don't care.', but with less words.

It's difficult to get Logan to play nice, especially when he hasn't had a good fight since the deer.

And that didn't fight back so it actually doesn't count.

"So what the hell is that?"

And why is it in my spot?

"This?" the Doctor asks, glancing briefly back to the blue box. "It's my TARDIS! Time and Relative Dimensions in Space."

Still with that very bright smile and the implied Do you like it? He's very fond of his TARDIS, he is.
