Always lookin' out...

JD is sitting on a couch, biting his thumbnail, bouncing his foot, and looking very antsy. The truth is, he's restless. He's been in the Inn far longer than healthy. He absolutely loves every second that he's with April and everyone else has been awesome as always, but he hasn't been a doctor in over four months now ( Read more... )

George tries to be quiet as she approaches the younger girl until she's inches close, then her hands settle on Juliet's shoulder and she speaks. "What're we watching?"

Maybe if she was paying a bit more attention, if she'd seen Xander and the way he keeps watching the door, she wouldn't be nearly as playful, as it is, she's oblivious.

Juliet gasps in high pitched surprise and turns to look back, letting out a breath of relief, because it's George and not... well, she's not sure what she'd thought it'd be. Just instinct really.

She smiles a little and shakes her head. "Hello. Sorry, I was... distracted. What is it that you said?"

She's a little startedl by the scream, jumping back a bit herself, befure laughing. "Nothing, don't worry about it."

Her eyes follow Juliet's and she raises a brow. "Xander TV, I hear it's aol the rage in Canada."

Juliet blinks and then smiles a little at the sound of the word, brows furrowing in confusion.

"Canada?" She looks back over at Xander. "Yeah, I talked to him a little. He's... going back."

George is facepalming a little, don't mind her.

"Is he?" She gets a little more serious. "Is he..Okay?" NOt that you can ever be okay going back into a situation like that but it never hurts to ask.

"When's he going?"

"I... don't know. I don't think so. I mean he is as okay as he can be." Juliet shakes her head, biting her lip. "Soon as he can, I think. It's just a matter of gathering the courage at this point."

There's a moment where George closes her eyes, she doesn't want to see this, see Xander sitting there trying to will himself to go into a place that doesn't have anything for him when the Inn is right there, the Inn is safe.

It makes her appreciate her own household a little more, even with it's little bits of dysfunction.

She opens her eyes and reaches for Juliet's hand, glancing at the other girl for just a moment to make sure she hasn't freaked her out or anything.

"I hope he'll be okay, I really do."

Juliet flushes at first when George takes her hand. She doesn't mean to, it's just... The flutter of her heart in her chest makes her feel lightheaded.

"I hope so too." She hesitates and then links their fingers together, squeezing George's hand softly and ducking her head.

George glances down as the other girl intertwines their fingers but she doens't pull away, in fact she gives a light squeeze back, sitting back and letting out a sigh.

"It just sucks that we can't even do anything." Really, this is going to bug her for a while.

She opens one eye and peers at Juliet, reaching around with her other hand giving the girl a poke in the side. "But what've you been up to besides watching him all day?"

Juliet squirms a little at the poke, laughing.

"Oh, not all that much. I met a man here the other day, and he taught me a new word. I like it a lot, but I am having a hard time remembering to use it." She smiles and takes in a deep breath as if it's very important to get the word completely right.

"Groovy."

She grins, a mischievous glint coming into her eye as she gives the girl another poke.

George bursts out laughing as she speaks the word and just shakes her head. "Really? Now who taught you that?"

"His name is Max. He's from 1968." Juliet recites, though she is rather confused by the laughing.

"What's so funny about groovy? He taught me trippy, too. I'm supposed to learn to say that."
