Chase is finally filled with energy from (gasp!) a good night's sleep. The snowball fight (...and the occasional kiss here and there) certainly took it out of him. So when he's finally rested, he's back at his spot at a table, working on a large book of crosswords the Inn seemed to provide. Hey, he's easily entertained and also easily distracted.

He's a doctor. He can't help it.
"Not sick sniffles, huh?" JD sits on the coffee table in front of her, examining her first from this distance, a small frown crossing his lips. "You look like you've got the flu."
Reply
Damnable bateria and their infestations.
She pulls the blanket a little tighter, a cold shiver sinking in upon her body, "You're a doctor, yeah?" She's seen many in her lifetime, so she knows the routine.

He leans forward, feeling her forehead with the back of his hand. Then JD thinks up a thermometer and hands it to her.
"Just hold it under your tongue, okay? Wait till it beeps."
Reply
In fact, when the little thermometer beeps, she gives a small jump, startled by it. And when JD would go to read it? Ah, it'd show a not-so-nice 102.3
"I'm sorry," She mumbles, looking up at JD briefly. She's apologizing for lying, and for the fact that he's bothered with caring for her.
Reply
He gives her a look at the apology and simply smiles. "Don't worry about it. Seriously. I live for doing this, and you're not the only one who likes to pretend they're perfectly healthy to the last second."
Don't ask how he knows what she's apologizing for. He's just that good at reading people. Really.
JD thinks up a couple of tylenol for her and hands them over. "Here. It'll help lessen the fever, hopefully make you a little more comfortable too."
Reply
"I guess it's common, huh?"
Taking the tylenol, she thinks up a small cup of water and takes the pills. She fidgets with the cup before thinking it away and giving off a sigh. She's tugging the blanket tight again soon after, "Thank you, though."
Reply
He smiles warmly, which is the best response he has to the thank you. "Have you been drinking liquids, trying to eat anything? I'm sure you already know all the... basics of this stuff, but I've got to remind you. Just in case, y'know, you forget."

Well, and then she fell through the floor. It was after that she stopped seeing the doctors altogether.
"Yeah, I do," A small laugh, but it fades quickly, "Haven't been able to keep much down." She's a little embarassed to say it, but, well, it's the truth. That flu has sent her whole body for a ride in hell.

"Liquid's the most important thing then. Just keep trying to get water down, maybe some crackers every now and then. You're not having any trouble breathing... a cough or anything?"

Kitty shakes her head and sinks back into the couch a little, trying to wait and feel the medicine run its course.

"Well, then the only thing left is for me to distract you by being entertaining." He grins a little playfully. "Do you like shadow puppets? Or y'know, I can just put on a movie for the both of us."
Because, yes, he plans on keeping her company at least until she falls asleep if not longer.
Reply
"Oh..." She's smiling, though, because it's always nice to have company when feeling ill. "How about a movie?"
She hasn't watched a good film in ages and, truth be told, she's not too amazing at shadowpuppets.
Reply
Such a girl.
Reply
"The Breakfast Club." She's grinning widely. "Have you seen it?"
Reply
"Only like fifty times!" He says, gleefully, and then he realizes what he's just said and flushes a little, clearing his throat. "... I mean like three... times. I don't have... it memorized or anything."
JD thinks the movie on to the tv screen and wa la, movie by the couch time!
