When one Robert Chase drug himself out of bed, he chanced a look at the calendar hanging on his wall. There were two names, written largely in red ink that, when realization struck, made him feel absolutely sick. The names'Rowan' and 'Kayla' were so carelessly scrawled upon it, and he tried taking it down, only to find it would be back in it's spot

Ben plops down in a chair next to Chase, puts his elbow on the table, and leans toward him. He can tell that there's something different about him, and not a good different, but he's smart enough not to ask.
He doesn't push people into talking, that's JD's thing.
"Beer?" He thinks one up and tilts it toward the man.
Reply
"You know me too well, eh?" He attempts at a light jest, taking up the beer tilted in his direction.
"How've you been?" Well, better than last he saw him, obviously. He didn't look like he'd come from a Tarzan movie this time around.
Well, not that that had been a terrible time, either...

"I've been good. Missed you of course." He says, reaching over and ruffling Chase's hair. "How about yourself, Aussie? Haven't seen you since..." His smirk widens into a smile. "Halloween."
Reply
Not that Chase' hair was ever particularly neat.
"I'm all right." He mutters, but can't help but return the smile he sees spread out on the other's face. "Where's that camera of yours, hm? I haven't seen it flashing about lately." A smirk given before he nudges the other's leg with his foot.

Mission accomplished.
Ben takes a gulp of his beer, wiping his mouth and smirking back at Chase, nudging Chase's foot with his own. Grown men playing footsie, how adorable.
"It's upstairs, enjoying a well deserved break. Haven't felt very... inspired as of late."
Reply
"I understand completely."
He gives Ben's foot a nudge back, merely because he can. That and perhaps to divert the other's attention from Chase's own channel of inspiration.
Not many people know he plays the violin.

Nice try in the diverting of Ben's attention, but he saw that move before it happened and counteracted. Hi-ya!

Taking a large gulp of his beer again, he set it down and fidgeted with it lightly, "'M a doctor, s'not like there's a whole lot of inspiration for that part, anyway."
He's still foolishly trying to avoid it, he is.
Reply
"Exactly my point. What is it that you do that requires inspiration, huh? Inquiring minds want... no, need to know." He smirks and tilts his head to the side slightly. "You're blushing. Aw. Okay, now you've really got to tell me your dirty, little secret. I won't take no for an answer. You should know that by now."
Reply
"Y'really don't have to know." He tries to reason, but decides it's probably better to give up.
"I play the violin." His parents had made him learn it. Well, before his mother drank herself to death and his father ran off, but he thought it a skill worth continuing.

He slides his leg back from Chase's and gives him a devilish look. "You realize this means you have to play for me now, right?"
Reply
Giving a sigh and running a hand back through his hair, he could only roll his eyes at the man's expression. "Again, I don't have to..."
But he knew he would not be able to get out of this one, either.
And thus, he thinks up the violin, looking it over momentarily, as though he was considering it.
Reply
"You don't have to, no, but if you don't I might just tell JD of your special talent and he'll have you playing at his wedding." He says with a laugh, nudging him lightly. "Besides, you know you want to entertain me. It's only right."
Reply
Standing up from his seat, he positioned the instrument at his shoulder and chin. Lifting the bow, he looked over to the other man. "Any requests?"
Reply
He smiles, moving his chair so that he can watch Chase, directly.
"Nah, play whatever you want. I'm just happy to listen."
Yes, Chase looks rather sexy holding that violin.
Reply
"Lessee..." Adjusting his fingers and the bow, he began to play one part of a rather upbeat piece. It was really meant for a double violin performance, but it would just have to work.
Closing his eyes and allowing the music control him for a moment in time, he seemed to forget that Ben was even there watching.
