Angua stalks into the Inn and slams the door behind her - not terribly violently, but just enough to make it clear she's not having the best of days. She walks right through the Inn proper to the back door, yanks it open as well, and steps outside, taking a deep breath in the open air. Fresh air - and a little space - are just what she needs. Here, Jason. Have a babymama. She's... very very pregnant.

And she's a bit more sympathetic towards him than the last time he talked to her.

"Um... having trouble writing something?" she asks.

Jason looks up and gives her an ironic smile. "What would make you say that?"

"I don't know, really. There are no outward signs of it."

He gets a little smile from her. "How are you?"

"Very perceptive," he says, mock-approvingly. "I'm alright. You know. Same as usual."

"Good."

Awkward.

"Um... you talked to Peter lately?" Maybe Peter'd told him about... things.

"Not... really? I mean, I've seen him, but he's been kind of busy with... school and all."

Jason is not at all resentful. Really. After all, it's pretty much his fault that he's not in school as well, that he's not with Peter as much as he wishes he could be...

"Yeah."

Jealousy rears, a tiny bit.

"Um... you... met any new people?"

She's trying to lead up to it. But she doesn't know how and she doesn't know how to say it when she gets there.

Jason thinks for a second. "There was this... sky pirate that gave me tea?" He's not entirely sure what Ivy's getting at. Ivy doesn't ask questions like this for no good reason.

"Cool."

Long pause.

"Um... I met somebody."

"Good for you?" Jason says slowly. It takes a moment for him to realize what she means by somebody.

"...Oh! Oh. You met somebody." Forgive him, Ivy. He's distractable and such. "Who?"

"Um..." Ivy sits down, 'cause it's hard to stay on her feet too long anymore. She looks down at her hands, not up at Jason. "I... that is..."

Deep breaths. Don't repeat what happened with Edna.

"Her name's Sue? Um. She's from New York. A couple of years before us."

Jason just stares at her for a minute. He must have misinterpreted her first comment. She just... met someone. A friend. Not... someone.

It's IVY.

"...Really?"

Ivy smiles a little, a tiny and secretive smile that if you weren't watching for it, wouldn't mean much. If you knew to look for it... it means everything.

"She's only a couple years older than me. Um. And she plays the piano really well. Like... really well."

Jason sees that smile. And recognizes it. Peter used to get that smile, every now and then...

"Ivy," he says with a bit of a grin. "Don't tell me you're following me and Peter's example."

Ivy flushes a little.

"Not really. No. I like guys. I do. I just... like Sue." She makes a face. "Does that even make sense?"

Jason chuckles a little, seeing her blush. "I guess. That's great. That you're... that you found someone."
