The doctor approaches, curiosity peaked by the music but being enhanced by April and her...giddiness.

"Well, someone's certainly happy," he remarked as he leans against a couch, not too far away. "What's the occasion?"

April's first reaction is to squeal and pounce him, hugging him tightly.

"Looklooklook!" she says, rather squeakily, and pulls back enough to show him the ring.

It's a very nice ring.

He's laughing immediately, huging her back and quickly glances down to study the ring. "A ring?"

And then it clicks.

And he's hugging her all over again, even spinning her around if she will allow. "Oh that's wonderful!"

Of course she'll allow spinning. She always will. "I know!" She laughs giddily. "Oh god. I can't believe it. I keep thinking I have to be asleep, right? But I'm not!"

"Oh no, of course not!" There's laughter and a grin so wide that it almost hurt. "besides, you can't tell me news like that and then abandon m! We have to celebrate!"

He moves to turn the music up a little louder and grabs her hand. "And I think celebrations should commence with dancing! I would have said alcohol but uhm...yes. Dancing will do just fine though."

"Oh, I know!"

April thinks up champagne flutes that have what appears to be champagne in them. Closer inspection will prove that it's really sparkling apple cider.

She giggles and raises her glass in a toast. "This is going to be a good month. A good life."

He follows suit. "Cheers to that!"

He downs the the cider and thinks up a bit more, this time adding just a hint of something extra, just for fun. "You two will be brilliant together. I can't wait to watch!"

April flushes a little, grinning. "You think? I mean, I want it to work, and I think it will, but you can't always tell..."

"I most certainly do," he protests, emphasizing his point with a light poke to her side. "Besides, I don't see why you have to ask me. What I think doesn't matter. It's what you two think, because you're the only ones who will make all work in the end."
