Try to remember when life was so tender that dreams were kept beside your pillow

The girl takes a deep breath and closes her eyes. The rain has stopped, now, and the air is cool, with the lovely scent of wet grass and a hint of lilacs from the garden (or, perhaps, from the perfume which she had lightly spritzed herself with that morning). Even with eyes closed, she imagines she can feel the moonlight, though she is sure the sun will be rising soon. A happy ending was just as wonderful as she had always imagined. She opens her eyes to beam at Matt and their silly fathers.

They are not there. The garden isn't, either, or the wall, or her house - and she is sure they were before. Instead, all she sees is an unfamiliar meadow. She wonders if, perhaps, she has fallen asleep, and is dreaming. It certainly wouldn't be the first time she's dreamt of a meadow! But she is far too excited to fall asleep, not after all that has happened tonight. She pinches herself, just to check, which results only in a muffled "Ow!" and a red mark on her arm. Not a dream. She turns, to see a huge building just behind her. She's definitely not anywhere she's been before.

Luisa decides to explore. She can't quite bring herself to go inside - she could be trespassing! - but stays outside. Perhaps she will run into someone who would be kind enough to tell her where she is.
