So... this weekend's been busy. I've been having some pretty busy weekends this start of 2011 but I'm not complaining as much as I'm stating a fact.
I don't think I was able to mention here that I have been taking Korean lessons since the last week of January. It's every Saturday for three hours and it's been pretty fun and interesting. I might not have been out of school for a long time but I relish the feeling of being inside a classroom. It feels good. Plus, it's not really a graded class (yes no language certification) but that makes me more inspired to learn.
But aside from that, this particular weekend I was ambushed by
dwenjangchigae and she invited me to the Kyujong and Youngsaeng Story in Manila" [it says Kyujong & Youngsaeng and Story in Manila on the ticket actually] and of course I don't say no to invitations like that. (We were even at Chinatown before we headed straight to the concert. It was a really busy day!)
I went a bit gungho and worked on my fan account immediately when I got home. It's up
HERE @
Fangirl Diaries if you want to know what went down that night.
Arriane is encoding the videos for me and is putting them up slowly over there at the post too.
They came out with a performance of Because I'm Stupid and my tension immediately went up. You see before my Super Junior fandom, I was actually a Triple S for a brief period. I still like the boys but I really haven't kept up with them. They're kind of like my first official KPop fandom -- I really wasn't into DBSK yet. Seeing these two perform sort of made me reminisce a bit. I still think they're awesome.
Apa was sort of out of her element here because she really wasn't a fan but in the end... she ended up liking Kyujong. haha She said he reminded her of Hiraoka Yuta.

Their matching permed hair made them look a bit alike though. It was funny and yes they are actually shorties. LOL It was cute!
My favorite performance was Kyujong's Never Let You Go solo. It was very, very sexy. And yes we both came to the conclusion that Filipinos are pervs, or I'd like to think fangirls in general, because during the part of the hip thrust/body wave the girls in the hall were screaming.
I really love going to KPop concerts/fanmeets. There's just something so fun about them. Or I just really love the fangirl culture that it's fun to be in a place where everyone gets what you like.
