So I did look at promise and I haven't updated since 2008. WOW! How to encompass the whole of almost two years?!
Well I moved...into a real live house. Which is awesome from living apartment life for two years. I loathe bottom floor apartments, just for future reference. Don't get me wrong, the first people who lived above me in Colorado were okay...and very handsome fellas. The second people had a heathen child who they did not discipline nor did they put her to bed until the wee hours of the morning, how awful.
I was surfing the 'net for jobs one day shortly before I moved into my house, and came across one I thought my friend Kim would be good for so I proceeded to text and nag at her to go for it. She did, she got it (yay!) and she moved here and into one of my spare rooms the weekend after I myself moved into my house haha. So she has lived in Colorado for two years this coming fall.
My brother in law had a heart attack at the age of 31 last April. Mister nuts and berries. It's a genetic thing. Anyway...the whole family moved into the Mountains for great job opportunities and they are flourishing. We see them every so often for when they come down for Cardiologist appointments and such.
I met Aleksander last May, I can only hope he enjoyed his visit. It was a very interesting experience on my end for sure. ;) I was able to take him through Red Rocks, and through Chatfield. We went shopping for gifts for his family. I wasn't able to go and do all the things I wanted to though. Maybe next time!
Leah came out for a visit in June, and we had a blast catching up. She's remarried now. We're hoping to plan a return visit for this summer.
Shortly after she left I had my surgeries, and well...sometimes you have to lose everything and hit bottom before you can strive to move upwards. I was told I would lost a great deal of my "friends" and stuff when I was 23 and I have to agree that I did. Many could not or would not handle things that happened or merely just forgot. This subject is like poking a wounded bear with a stick. So let's move on...
I'm expecting my friend Ben to come in for a visit next Wednesday. A little celebration for a good thing in my life and a mini vacation for him.
It suits us both.
Now to fiddle with the On Demand and then to bed. You know what they say... "Early to bed, early to rise..."
