No time like the present, right?

Except there are always things to do: food to buy, corners of the city to explore...not that he's really gone much into the city since running into Michael that one time.

Angels. Isn't that just perfect. Still, with the existence of demons, he supposes the forces of good must have some sort of representation. But the demons he knows aren't really anything of the sort--they aren't the monsters from the Bible, they're just strange, twisted men, men who love blood, men who love to kill, to cause pain. They aren't mythological, just dangerous and disturbed, and that isn't even relegated to Gunsmoke's boundaries.

All these things flash through his mind as he stands at the computer screen, waiting, a cigarette slowly burning down between his lips. After a long minute, he sighs, and closes his eyes.

"What the hell?!?"

Leaning forward, he grips the edge of the computer and puts his face right up to the screen. It doesn't change. "Oh, I get it." Straightening, he puts a hand on his hip and glowers. "I can go home, but I can't go talk to your little buddy, huh?"

The screen glows, without changing its answer, and he hangs his head. "Look, I'm sorry, alright? I never should have said I hated computers. I won't cause any trouble. Promise!"

A moment passes. The screen, serene, glows on.

Being outside beats talking to some stupid computer anyway. Adjusting the little church under his arm, he pauses, cracks his back beneath the weight of the Punisher, and walks on, mind already turning over his new plan. There's a likely looking little corner near one of the holistic healing shops that he's eyed a few times: lots of foot traffic and it's right across the street from a bar. He'll just park the miniature confessional there and let the sob stories come right to him.

Solving mysteries isn't his job, anyway. Saving souls--that's something to attempt.

Even if he doesn't have a lot of practice in it.
