3/22/74 - A Party

Aug 09, 2009 19:28

Last time the theme was winter. There were faux icicles, snow, and all the accompanying landscaping. This time, he thinks summer. The lounge has been transformed into the tropics: palm trees, sand. No ocean -- some things are beyond even his means and he doesn't want to have to maintain a glamor like that for the duration of the party -- but fans provide a warm breeze and the drinks are blue and green, replete with little umbrellas, and the food is... well, it's there. It was short notice, and he's done his best to replicate an authentic clam bake.

The stage is full of robots playing beach music: Hawaiian tunes, the Beach Boys, that sort of thing. Come 11, he'll take over. Tonight he'll do his best to live up to the phrase he played his heart out.

It's the perfect opportunity.
