I was thinking of retiring, but after last night...

...to hell with it. I'm driven now. And with all due respect to my fellow competitors, many of whom are my friends, I will not stop. No matter how many stupid officials are thrown in my way (and a note to some of the judges last night: it helps to wait until after the poem to set up your score, jackass), I will not stop. No matter how many of my poems are ridiculed, I will not stop. No matter how many years it takes, I will not stop.

Add this to the list of things I will do before I die (alongside penning a bestseller, selling a screenplay, and getting my Master's degree):

Before much longer, I will win a Grand Slam title. Broken Speech, Say Anything, any other slam pavilion in America... I really don't care.

Some people have nothing better to do than talk trash about my work. Keep egging me on. It'll only make my work better, and it'll only make me tougher to beat.
