just a rant about Norton's 360 anti-virus programs

Okay, well... I have had Norton's Internet Security for several years now. I have NEVER had any problems with it, despite what some people say about Norton. Now, though, I think I know why people talk so bad about Norton.... Maybe they were using something besides Norton Internet Security. My subscription ran out on the 12th of this month. I clicked to renew, and of course they wanted me to upgrade to 360... It costed more, but the list showed that it does so much more, so I though... Hmm.. Why not.... Well, that was a huge mistake.......................

Right after purchasing, it told me to install 360, I had to completely delete Norton Internet Security from my system. Right then, I KNEW it had been a mistake. I thought it was an upgrade, but NOW its telling me I have to remove the old one... YIKES... Well, I had already purchased it, so I uninstalled Norton Internet Security... Then, as soon as I installed the 360, the home network stopped working, and I was the only one who could get on the Internet. I messed with that quite a while before getting the network back going. That SUCKED... So, I finally was getting SORT of used to using this new 360 until this morning. I downloaded some music, and wanted to scan it before I played it... I right clicked on the song, and looked for where it used to say "Scan with Norton"... It wasn't there... I was like OMG you've GOT to be kidding me....... I searched and searched for a way to scan it... There was none... I proceeded to get on a chat with Norton 360 tech support. They kept reassuring me that my computer would automatically do scans. I said... "No, I want to scan an individual file, not sit here and wait on my whole computer to scan....." So, the nice person from some foreign country that I can't even remember their name gave me a refund. I purchased the upgrade for Norton Internet Security, and I'm happy as a lark...

So, Lesson here... If its not BROKEN, then DON'T fix it... Or, in my case. Don't change what you've got if you already love it. And I DO love Norton Internet Security. Its been Awesome! But, 360 is CRAP... I wouldn't recommend Norton 360 to my worst enemy... Hm... Well, maybe I would to my enemy, but you get what I mean.....

Okay, I feel better. I have my Norton back the way I want, and I got that off my chest... LOL... Niters....... :-P
