The Beginning of the Second Gala 'Week' and a Note from the Mod
And so the second week finally begins, with two days of rest and a second feast. For the sake of space and time, both of those will be presented in one post under two separate cuts.
The second feast is far more straightforward than the first, and consists of three parts:
Midafternoon - Early evening: appetizers and alcoholic beverages, witchlight displays in the forest attached to the castle and along the base of the mountains.
Early evening - midnight: The feast itself.
Midnight - dawn: Those who wish to can pay their respects to the feast's special guest, deliver their own speeches to their fellows, or seek an audience with their hostess.
The rest days are, I would hope, self-explanatory; once again guests may explore the castle or keep to their rooms or the common rooms, which will overlook different parts of the countryside periodically regardless of which way they're facing. They can also look around the library or try to find Tempest herself, who will be a bit scarce during that two-day period.
The day that the banquet's events begin, servants will deliver invitations to the guests, informing them of the evening's schedule.
Part One
The light show takes place in a tiny pocket of forest between the castle and the mountains - big enough to lose yourself, not big enough to get lost. There's not a lot to say about the event, except that certain fae (some of whom haven't been seen before tonight) will be particularly active and particularly interested in getting the newcomers alone. Not for any violent purpose, just to talk... or to seed with spells, depending on which fae the characters run into.
Part Two
The feast. A bit like the first, but with a far more personal kind of feeling. Again, the fae will be far more interested in interacting with the feast-goers this time around than they were initially. They might once again suggest private conversations once the feast itself is over.
Tempest will make a speech and offer a toast to the guest the feast is being thrown to honor, at which time he himself will be introduced. Once that's done, the meal will begin.
Part Three
Within the post itself, I'll tag tempest in with the subject line 'Part Three' (GASP, the creativity). At that time, anyone who's been wanting to speak with her, anyone who wants to make a speech can do so, and people can get a closer look at the guest of honor.

On a personal note, I apologize for how sideways the event has gone in terms of timing; I've just started a new job, and the schedule and commute adjustment threw me for a loop this past week. Hopefully I'm used to it enough at this point that I won't fall so behind again, but just be aware that's what's going on on my end. In addition, LJ seems to have stopped giving me notifications for any of my characters, so if I'm taking a while to get back to you on an important thread I may just not realize you've tagged. Until I've figured out how to fix this particular problem, please don't hesitate to PM me to let me know it's my go.
