(For the record, originally the "d" was an "f". Hahaha. Whoops.)
I just watched the most touching thing ever. It's called "Bang, Bang, You're Dead." It's a Showtime movie, and I TiVoed it because it had Randy Harrison in it, and I like him. It's been sitting unwatched in TiVo for a few weeks, and so I had some time today, and I went "Hell, I'll watch it now."
Oh. My. God.
It was beautiful, and dark, and highly disturbing. It's about violence in the schools, a topic that normally would make me roll my eyes. Ya know, they NEVER get it right!
The movie's main character was some guy named Trevor. Trevor had made bomb threats in school the previous year (never acted on them), and now everyone treats him like an outsider. He was a scary, dark, observant character who walked around school all day with a videocamera, taping the things that kids do. Trevor has this one teacher (his name escapes me) who wanted Trevor to be in a show he was putting on called, surprisingly "Bang, Bang, You're Dead." This was causing in uproar in the community. Parents were pissed off that their children were participating in a show with a such a name, and the lead was some kid who had ACTUALLY MADE bomb threats, nonetheless.
I'm not gonna go on with the whole plot, but at one point, they actually SHOW you the aforementioned videos Trevor was making. It was so disturbing. Ugh, the whole movie. Beautiful. I almost cried.
Whew, now that that's done with, I don't feel like typing anymore.
"Multiply it a million times, spread it all around the world,
Put the curse of lonliness on every boy and every girl..."
Ahhaha. I got the CAMP soundtrack now, baby!
Yea, later.
