i saw a friend post that the UK gave a go-a-head for a hybrid human-cow embryo. so, I tried to find online articles about this and found this:

http://science.howstuffworks.com/human-cow-embryo.htm

which isn't the most detailed article about what is proposed, but I liked the pictures towards the bottom. They remind me of

still couldn't find something that showed it was approved, but I'm a little disturbed by the thought.

I mean, how do you guarantee that the stem cells taken from the embryo are completely human? and if they aren't can you use them in humans?

this gets into using pig organs and such for human transplants, which I think they've done as well, but it's still a little weird.

I mean, they talk about parkenson's treatments, and would you really want part of your brain reconstructed by cow cells?
