i changed my car battery yesterday! It only took an hour and a half too! The bolts on the connectors were so unused I couldn't get them off and had to buy a wrench set at the autozone to unscrew them. my old battery was really old too! When I removed the cover that held it stable i got a wiff of my grandmother's old battery plant - ah, brought back memories I tell you! and the sound of her voice, "danielle! get off the floor and go wash your hands! There's lead everywhere!"
So, I got a new battery and low! my car started! without being jumped!! I was happy. :) IT started this morning too! Double happy!
next up I suppose I should get some body work done. There was a guy doing body work out of his van in the parking lot who said he would repair the rust and knock out the dents and get my car ready for a paint job for $400. I'm not sure if that's a good price or not though, so I must do some research. There are dents at each tire wheel on the right side (from two separate collisions, each one only doing minor damage), and rust damage along the windshield, both dents, and part of the trunk. I know I need a paint job, but I need to get the body work done first. I guess i should start looking into that and trying to locate a maco to get a quote.
yep. gonna try and make my car look decent!
