had four back-to-back interviews today.
the company is wonderful - one i'd love to work with.
the job is less wonderful, with what sounds like a lot of tedious and mundane tasks. this bothers me a little since i tend to not care about boring things.
the people i met were nice enough though, and they had a thurough understanding of how boring some of the work is. so much so that they do the boring stuff together in groups so at least they have company and all suffer together. I suppose there's some comfort in that, right?
i'm still pushing for the job though. the HR guy told me the position doesn't usually start at the salary I need to actually make the switch, but another HR person told me it was reasonable and possible. I"m not really sure who to believe at this point.....I know I can't take a pay cut, and the job isn't interesting enough for me to really want to. Some of the other positions they had would have been, but they didn't want to interview me. Such is how it goes I suppose.
well, wish me luck? decent job, good salary, engaging work, and good people to work with that's what I'd like.
plus it'd be nice to get away from my crazy boss and her dictatorial management style.....blah
