from this article about how pro-life organizations protested krispy kreme because they used the phrase "freedom of choice" when referring to a promotion on 1/20 to celebrate the people's choice of Obama for our next president.
They excorised their freedom of choice to choose to be offended by this phrase and twist it to mean that krispy kreme is using the donuty goodness to kill little sea-monkey-look-a-like fetus parasites. Where as krispy kreme was more likely excorsising their freedom of choice to capitalize on the inaguration of the president - which reprsents the people's choice, and the people's excorsing of that choice's freedom by electing the first black man to be our president - by giving away free donuts to get people into their store to buy their coffee, thus using marketing tactics to take away the consumers' freedom of choice to avoid the sugar-rush of donut-sin.
*sigh*
as they say, "A misconstrued concept of 'choice' has killed over 50 million preborn children since Jan. 22, 1973. Does Krispy Kreme really want their free doughnuts to celebrate this 'freedom.' ..."
but what say you about your misconstrued concept of their use of the word "choice"? what? what's that? you're right? oh, I'm sorry....
then again, I saw a bumper sticker that said, "Pope Benedict says 'protect life' ".
and since you are "the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization in the United States and [are] committed to the protection of all innocent human beings from the moment of creation to natural death" you should support this whole-heartedly. I mean he is your top religous leader, right?
so, tell me, how do you feel about the death penalty? war? assasignation? bombs in iraq? killing sadam husein? or Bin Ladden? or all the palestinians israel has been killing? Do you still support them? even after they wrangled people into a "safe-house" only to blow it up?
I mean, I wouldn't call those natural deaths.. Kind of man-made if you ask me....still, I suppose you can pick and choose the application of your commitment to life, and the true meaning of your leader's words. I mean, it's not like he meant all life, right? you have to be able to read into what he was saying and not take it out of context in order for it to be applicable...wait...bible what?
sorry, gotta go get a donut.
my "freedom of choice" donut thank you very much. so much easier than a hanger in a back alley. but probably not much better for me. :)
