Upon consideration, our rules regarding the use of Japanese current events need to be clarified. It now
states:
As stated in the information: "This game will not exploit or belittle the tragic events related to the 2011 Earthquake & Tsunami." This means that the earthquake, tsunami, nuclear meltdown or any other event related to the current tragedy in Japan are not to be used in-game for any reason. As a community we do not want to co-opt one of the worst tragedies in recent memory for frivolous entertainment. For that reason, using recent events as a backdrop for character actions is one of our few one-shot bannable offenses. Let me repeat that: using the earthquake, tsunami or nuclear crisis in Japan as part of your in-game actions will result in your immediate removal from the game.
This rules change is not retroactive, however from here on out we hope it is absolutely clear that we wish to avoid co-opting, making light of, or exploiting the events related to the earthquake in every way possible. It is not to be dealt with in-universe, as it could be perceived as an "excuse" for drama, thus reducing a very real tragedy to a temporary plot point. While I'm sure there is a game that could use these events to create a sensitive, nuanced portrayal of Japanese life during a major crisis, it is (sadly or happily, depending on your point of view) not this one. This is an RP about extremely gay high school baseball.
