after reading the article on the internet about cutting down on closed captions was what ticked me off. luckily, i found the email address of the person who wrote this article and said this-
THINK! If there were televisions with no volume and you wouldn't be able to enjoy or understand anything that is on the screen but to maintain the assumptions of gesture.
The government degrade deaf people by giving them limitations of access to information. We are just disabled with hearing- the only thing we can't do is to hear and you give a full access to those people who aren't able to walk, what difference does it make?
For those people who agree with the government and think we need to cut the closed captions are people with twisted minds ... it's just too bad that we all live in a disabled world without government's understanding of our necessities is definitely HANDICAPPED!
