imagine you meet picasso in the park. you walk over and ask him to draw something for you, say... a dog. but of course, you expect a picasso dog - something that looks like a construction crane with a pink fluffy tail, or something along those lines. instead, you get a picture of a real dog.

it is true that auktyon plays some straight forward groove stuff, but they are an avant-garde band whether they play groove, jazz, or classical. and they should be treated as such. in as far as avant-garde means ignoring all ground rules for the sake of creativity, it demands the same approach from the audience; an avant-garde band isn't a freak in a cage, and stop staring. better close your eyes and drink, dance and scream like it's your last show ever.
