I have to say a word about Devon Sproule. I went out to see her at Gravity Lounge last weekend for her CD release. Devon is a local singer-songwriter - she's been around since she was a kid (she's still a kid, but now she's a grown up kid), playing first on the mall, then in clubs, now all over the country.
She's always had a nice voice and a very "together" sort of manner about her, but she's really become a great talent. In some ways she's still just a very endearing and goofy little girl, but you can tell she's developed this beautiful confidence, in part because of the way she was brought up, I'm sure, but also in part because she does have all that talent.
She's a great young songwriter, and if you ever get the chance, you should go and see her. Or buy her great new CD, "Keep Your Silver Shined".
