I'm sure most of you have heard of this by now...
Pat Robertson is rich. Christianity prides itself on helping the downtrodden, of giving to others, and insists on instilling these values in its adherents. But when disaster strikes, does Robertson donate some amount of his sizable resources to maybe HELP people who are suffering?
No.
No, it's much, much easier to simply sit on his high horse and MAKE SHIT UP for why bad things happen to a certain group of people. He claims to be this big force for some warped view of justice in the world, but when people are SUFFERING HORRIBLY, what does he do? He runs his fat, stupid mouth with an undeserved sense of superiority. God forbid he actually applies some of those oh-so-precious Christian teachings to his actions. Even if he isn't going to give any of his OWN cash to help... I mean, the man commands the attention of untold numbers of Christians in the United States. You'd think he could urge them to donate something, anything to help. But no. He'd rather spread hatred and ignorance, because he's a rotten piece of shit.
Pat Robertson has said and done some retarded shit in the past, but looking at the images coming from Haiti... this takes it to a whole new level. I hope Jerry Falwell is saving him a nice space in hell, he's gonna be needing it soon.
