Brrr....

So... as for the issue I mentioned in my previous post, I managed to figure out wtf was up. It wanted some sort of file, and the site I got the emulator from said nothing about it, nor did it have any answers.

So I took the name of whatever it was asking for and Googled it. Found a download site for whatever the hell the file was, downloaded it, scanned it, put it in the folder and WTF, it works. I mean, perfectly. Only one other emulator I tried managed to load a disk, ONCE, and it did it in a horribly diminished aspect ratio and it skipped like hell.

This one, however, works flawlessly. No skipping. No messed-up aspect ratio. The only hiccup is when it has to access the disk; there's some hangtime because my laptop stops spinning the disk when it isn't accessed in a while to save power. This strikes me as an idiotic feature that I'd like to change, but I don't know how.

But yeah. I can play my PS1 games on here now, and with a better screen quality and faster load times than on the PS1 itself. Now I just need my new controller adaptor. Playing emulators with a keyboard is crap. >.<

On another note... all day today, we've had a major storm coming through. Thunder, rain, strong winds(strong enough to yank the front door out of my hand and slam it open), etc. And up in the northern part of the county, they actually have A BLIZZARD WARNING. IN ARIZONA.

Psshhh.... yeah... there's no climate change going on. I'd like every Republican who says global warming is a myth to come out here and hang around outside for a few hours, then tell me there's no fucking climate change happening. -.-
