[For Marian - dated 29 May]

May 13, 2008 23:11

It had started like any other island day, it had only been after Robin had tipped the latest load of island vegetation into Much's pen (to add further insult to injury the deer was female, he'd come up with a new name if Much actually arrive for perhaps Marian had a point.) He was not unused to conversing with the deer though the topics tended towards complaints from him - she'd liked that food yesterday why was she turning her nose up at it today - and threats involving recipes for Venison. Today however he looked over the fence and announced to the deer. "I'm never going to eat you." Though he had perhaps conceded this to himself he had not so far felt the need to pronounce it. Either way the deer looked bored with both him and the provided food and perturbed Robin took up his bow and sword to head off for an impromptu patrol. IPD rules said he should do this only with his partner but if questioned he would call it a hunt - he was perfectly capable alone.

And though he had not set out to do so - he found himself heading on a path that took him by the home Marian had set up with Silence. Even the sight of her home seemed to loosen his tongue and he determined not to linger before he started making pronouncements to empty air.

plot:truth, marian, much the deer
