We are so excited to read new Outlander fanfictions. Here are a few things to keep in mind and our template for fanfiction is below:
1. We accept all kinds of Het pairings from G to M. We would prefer to remain slash free. This doesn't apply to Lord John stories. We love the characters but let's not change who they are fundamentally. Alternate reality and such are always welcome. Please no stories about the actors.
2. Please use the Subject line. We love the idea of letting everyone know the criteria of your story by the subject. In other word:
FIC: Title [Rating], Pairing If Any (ie Jamie/Claire), 1/5 (1/5: meaning it is part 1 of 5 in the story.)
Example: FIC: The Road Lost [PG], Jamie/Claire, 1/2
3. Then there is the story information which will help us with archiving and for those stopping by wanting to read what you are posting:
Title: title of your story
Author: your LJ name
Date: posting date is fine
Part: 1 of ?
Rating: G, PG, PG13, R or M?
Ships: Jamie/Claire or Brianna/Roger
Warnings: Language? Violence? Sexual situautions?
Timeline: where in the series?

4. Please tag your stories. We have several FIC categories which include: FIC-GENRE, FIC-PAIR, FIC-RATING. You may use as many as you like of FIC-GENRE & FIC-PAIR. Please put the highest rating on all parts of a story. So if only one part is R we would like to see R on all parts so others know it is going to have R aspects in the overall story.
If you do not see a FIC-PAIR or FIC-GENRE you are looking for please add it using the current structure of the tags. All newly created tags will be reviewed by moderators/owner.
We also ask you use the tag .fan-fiction so readers can look through all stories.
5. Please be willing to accept constructive criticism from reviewers.
6. You are more than welcome to add the LJ-Like function to the bottom your fic if you'd like readers to share your fic and bring more and more readers to your story.
FYI: The REPOST portion of the LJ-Like doesn't steal your work. It simply mirrors your post on someone's journal. When readers click to read it they will be taken to your original post and will be commenting to your original post. REPOST is similar to LIKE on Facebook.
If you have any questions about posting a fan-fiction please comment.
