Catching up with Outlander Stars in other TV shows
I was wondering how many of you have watched/are watching the second season of AMC's "Into the Badlands"? Two Outlander stars have featured fairly prominently in the second season. Stephen "Angus" Walters had a very memorable role in the first two episodes of season 2 -- in truth, the character was a lot like "Angus", but without a Scottish accent. And John "Young Ian" Bell has had a recurring role in several of the subsequent episodes playing "Gabriel".
Richard "Roger Wakefield" Rankin had a brief, but great role in the first two episodes of the 2nd season of "The Last Kingdom", playing "Father Hrothweard".
And in June, Graham "Dougal McKenzie" McTavish will return in the second season of "Preacher" on AMC.
I've been impressed with John Bell in "Into the Badlands". He looks much taller than I'd previously thought he was (or else everyone he co-stars with is short), and, given the physical demands of his role in "Into the Badlands", I think he'll make a very good Young Ian.
