I heard on the news that people are risking frostbite while waiting for the bus so the closings make a lot of sense.

Humph. New Englanders are such wusses when it comes to weather.

*back home* the last time they closed school for extreme cold it was when the windchills were over (under?) 65 below zero. And the governor did it statewide.
