i am yupping it up big time HK style...
officially through with the mainland and back in Hong Kong...staying at my cousin's place, but the thing is, she's essentially given me the apartment for the week so i'm here by myself. she's married with a kid, but the thing is, this place is far out of Kowloon - where my cousin and her husband work. this could be considered a densely packed suburban forest of apartments - suburban in the sense that it's outta the main city district and the population density here is definitely lower. i'm not actually sure if that constitutes "suburban" at all, but besides the lack of SUVs and big houses with lawns, the vibe here screams suburbia. ANYHOW, my cousin and husband and child live with my cousin's husband's mother in kowloon to make the trek to work for the both of them substantially easier. so they own this sick ass apartment and only occupy it on the weekends. time to live out some yupster fantasies...hmmm...what the hell would that be?
but yeah, i'm livin' more comfortably here than in canada even...whatta drastic shift from roughing it on the mainland to this...internet ALL the time, a bathroom all to myself, bball courts at the apartment, cheap cheap eats all within 10m away from this apartment complex...man oh man...
