Industrial Action Sucks, y'all...
Okay, this is just stupid.
Half of the lecturers here have decided that the Manager of the fashion section is evil, so they have had her removed from the premises. Useful.
Especially as Mine and My co-workers' contracts come up for renewal in less than a week, and we are now going to have to sit down with an interim manager to work out contracts, which will suck because they would not know how much hard work we have put into the unit, and thus we are unlikely to get the raise that we want for Christmas.
I know, I know, I'm a selfish cow. There are bigger issues at stake here, and I'm worried about a stupid $2 an hour pay rise. But hell, this is my life, and that extra $2 an hour could mean whether or not we can afford to buy a house.
I'm pissed off. I know I bitch about the Manager as much as the next person, but the way this has happened is completely wrong.
And i'm beginning to dislike being kept out of the loop. Or should that be keeping myself out of the loop? Either way, I dislike not knowing what is going on, and I dislike not knowing where the lines have been drawn in the sand. I'm more than likely to stumble over them without even realising it.
