Who: Bahst, Azakdellia, Tersa, Nattapong, Sergi.
What: Bahst gets attacked by the paper then gets rescued by Az.
When: January 6h, Noon.
Where: Some Hallway
This is why she didn't want to get separated from Raw, the castle was just too big for her. Well considering the fact she'd only been there a couple days and most of the time she'd been with Raw - who knew where he was going. Glancing down the hallways for a moment she let out an impatient growl before continuing down her pathway, turning around a corner only to stop dead in her tracks as a flood of emotions hit her like a ton of bricks. Eager was the one that she could feel but now her curiosity had her wondering what this person was eager about. At the same time she knew that she'd regret trying to speak to him due to the lack of mental control for her abilities.
“There she is! I see her!" A high-pitched voice called triumphantly. Before the Viewer could do more than blink a tiny woman was rushing up towards her, a slightly larger man trailing behind. “It’s a female viewer!” The mini-woman hissed at her slower companion. The pair barely made it up halfway to Bahst’s height, and she wasn’t exactly enormously tall to begin with. Both were painted in blindingly bright colored paint, the woman in yellow and the man in blue. Oddly enough they wore formal outfits over their painted flesh, a severely cut black dress for the female and a tiny grey suit for the male.
Taking half a step backwards she looked down at the oddly coloured .. short people as she shook her head in confusion, if the getting lost part of leaving Raws side wasn't enough to make her regret exploring, this was going to top the cake. Her mind began to pulse will all of the excitement from the pair and she felt her head beginning to ache from all of it. This was not going to be good, at least not for her mind, and something told her that the pair were going to pretty much destroy any privacy she had. Without a word she turned on her heel, unsure of where she was going but as long as it was away from them.
The miniature female immediately rushed after the cat-woman. “Maybe that’s what I’ll call her!” She declared to herself with glee, making a mental note of the name for use in future articles. “Wait!” She called. “Wait! We just want to talk to you.” Her partner puffing along beside her, they followed the much taller female.
“Is it true you’re the first female ever to be trained as a Viewer?” She called as she tried to get the Lion-woman to talk to her. “Please, the people need to know!”
How did people get this information so quickly? It had only been a handful of days since she'd arrived and already there were people who'd learned the inner workings of the castle, it was a little off putting and made her believe that she should never have come here at all. "You already seem to know the answer to that question, why ask?" Bahst asked as she tipped her head somewhat and looked the two smaller figures over, knowing she was going to regret stopping to talk.
"Because we want to hear it from you.” The little woman stuck out her hand. “I’m Tersa, and this…” She pointed to the man beside her without looking at him. “is Nattapong. We work for ‘Behind the Magic: The Facts from the O to Z.” Pulling out a notepad and pencil from her miniscule purse, she flipped it open. “So the first female Viewer, huh? How does that make you feel to know that up until now, most of the people in the O.Z. didn’t even think that your species had females?” She cocked her head to the side, her tone seeming as if she really cared.
Nattapong? Making a face at the names she took a step backwards from them as she began to get questioned once more, "I cannot answer your questions." Bahst said finally as she looked between the two figures curiously, her mind beginning to pound even more heavily from all of the things she was getting off of the two of them. "It is not my place to speak without my mate," Then she realised that they would probably take that the wrong way and she found herself taking yet another step backwards.
Tersa really perked up at the other female’s last statement. “Without your mate?” She lowered her voice conspiratorially, after sharing a look with her comrade, before she spoke again. “Goddess, are female Viewer’s second class in your society?” Gasping dramatically, she put a hand to her mouth. “That’s horrible….they don’t beat you do they?” She slipped her notebook and pen to Nattapong, knowing he’d take numerous notes on the subject. This would definitely get her the byline now.
"That is not what I meant," Bahst replied as she watched the two of them begin to write things down. "He knows much more of humans then I do, Further educated in what you mean then I am." Growling lightly as she asked if they were beaten she offered a glare to the two of the figures, this was already getting out of hand and it'd just begun. "There is never any beating among my people, there is no need for violence."
Nattapong nearly danced his Dance of Glee when he heard the female Viewer growl. He loved getting under people’s…er, humanoids’ skins. It was so delicious. “So they use means other than violence for their repression of the females of your kind, hmm…” He scribbled down his shorthand of what she was saying. And of what he could do with the information. “So what? Shunning, psychological or verbal abuse?” He nearly bounced in his excitement. “Do they withheld food?”
Now he was twisting what she'd said around, "I just said there is nothing of the kind amonst us. None of that happens, ever." Bahst said quickly and firmly as she watched the man write, tempted to just rip the pad out of his hands. "All of us are equals, there is no shunning, violence - mental or otherwise. We are peaceful and respect each other."
Tersa pouted. “None at all?”
The female appeared to be upset that there was no violence of any nature with the Viewers, and that only furthered the fact she was going to tell Raw she wasn't interested in this training. "Never."
Az was looking for her bodyguard. No, not the one assigned to her for the day, Johnson of the gravel voice. But her head guard, Jeb Cain. She hadn’t seen him since she’d left (abandoned) him in the Healer’s office the day before. Now, feeling the need to find and properly apologize to him, she couldn’t find him.
She paused when she spotted two munchkins and a small Viewer standing in the middle of the passageway ahead. The Viewer was looking seriously upset, while the two little people were scribbling in their notebooks.
They looked awfully familiar. “Hey!” She called out. “Don’t I know you two?”
Tersa and Nattapong froze when they spotted the Princess heading straight for them. Followed by a mountain of a man whose lips were pulling back in a sneer that made terror ice its way up their spines. Without another word they turned tail and fled, clutching their notepads to their chests.
The sound of another female caused her attention to shift towards the woman, someone she recognised from a picture Raw had shown her as Princess Azkadellia. The emotions from her hit like another ton of bricks, but by this point in time her headache was already so bad she didn't take notice of it, she did however, see the two little terrors running off due to the rather large man that was following the female. "Thank you," She said slowly and softly even, her body turning to face the two of them, a small smile on her face as she realised the man was good at keeping his own emotions to himself. Didn't have to be a viewer to do that, just heavily disciplined. "I should have not left without Raw."
When Az realized just who the female was, she threw up the shields she’d (mostly) perfected while possessed. She vaguely remembered reading a report about Viewers, that the females weren’t trained. It must be overwhelming to Raw’s mate, being immersed in such a highly emotional atmosphere of Humans when she wasn’t used to it. “It was nothing.” She waved off the thanks, craning her head to see which direction the munchkins had run in. “I don’t even know how they got in here. Cain will have to be notified.” The last statement was directed at the bodyguard following her. It wasn’t her favorite Johnson, instead it was a man who’d relieved him the night before, Sergei. Even bigger than the last one, but without the awesome voice.
Almost instantly after she'd thanked the dark haired woman she could feel the emotions from her being blocked off, which she was grateful for but at the same time she was curious as to why she had felt the need to do that. Her eyes followed the path the munchkins had taken before looking towards the rather large man that was standing near the other woman. She must either be DG or Azkadellia - Raw had given her a basic idea of who they were and to becareful around them because they could on occasion just be complete wrecks. Cain.. the name sounded familiar to her and then she remembered that he was the head of security. "They took what I said and made it a lie," Bahst announced finally with a small frown painted across her face.
Az’s eyes narrowed as she looked in the direction the munchkins had fled, before she returned her attention to the female Viewer. “I’m Az,” she held out her hand to shake. It wasn’t royal protocol, but she’d started following DG and being less formal with those around her. “And that’s one of my many bodyguards, Sergei.” She gestured to the blonde man behind her.
Glancing at the hand for a moment she extended her own arm, unsure of why royalty was acting this way - it was unlike anything she'd heard of before but then again Raw had informed her that the Princesses were different then others. "I am Bhast, Raws mate." Her eyes lifted towards the man who stood behind Az and she nodded her head somewhat, not really sure she was going to get much out of him.
Az looked over her shoulder at Sergei, after a pointed look from her he flashed a wide smile. Huh. He didn’t look half bad when he smiled. She looked back at Bahst. “I know, DG talked in passing about sending off letters looking for you. That you and Raw had been separated for nearly twelve annuals and were just reunited. It’s terribly romantic.”
Offering a small smile to the man and then to Azkadellia she nodded her head, pulling herself back somewhat. "Yes things did not go as we planned unfortunately and got separated, but that is in the past and will not happen again so it is not important." Bahst said with a small shrug, she didn't want to dwell on the past since it could not be changed but rather to focus on the future. "Do you know.. where I might find him?"
Az nodded. “Yes, he usually teaches a class about that ends about this time. It’s nearly lunch and he has a long break before his next one.” She began heading in the direction she knew Raw’s classroom was located in. It took a second before she realized that Bahst wasn’t following, making her look over her shoulder. “Come on, I’ll show you the way.”
Standing there for a moment she tipped her head to the side, it would be faster to just follow the woman but at the same time she was sure to be knocked unconscious by all the humans she was going to run into. Beginning to move with her she nodded her head, mentally getting herself prepared for the mass of human emotions that they all seemed to have, something she still wasn't used to, "Okay."
Az had become a master at reading body language over the years. It was one of the few useful things she’d learned from the Witch’s reign in her body and over the O.Z.. But while She had used it to help her know which commanders were more loyal than others in the Queen’s army, Az mostly used it just to keep track of how likely someone was to kill her. Bahst’s hesitation was beyond obvious, practically screaming at her in its intensity. And Az could easily guess why the female Viewer was slow to follow. The Princess held out her hand again. “I can shield you.” Az offered. “At least long enough to get you to Raw.” Knowing it would be draining, Az still knew that it was the least she could do for Raw’s mate. “Come on.”
The woman appeared to be good at reading people herself, but Bahst figured it was beyond clear that she wasn't sure of going, after all she hadn't moved, plus she'd just been ambushed by multi coloured tiny people. For a second she stood there stupidly before she took the womans hand and offered a nod, attempting to assure herself that nothing was going to happen - not with this Princess with her at least. Or so she hoped. "Thank you." Bahst said after a moment of silence, her eyes shifting towards the large man who had taken up his defensive like stance once more behind Azkadellia. "How do you know Raw?"
Closing her eyes as she felt the Viewer take her hand, Az concentrated. On her light, her shields, and of letting it surround Bahst. If she’d had her eyes open she would’ve seen the air shimmer around her for a brief moment before the sparkle faded. With a slow breath, she opened her eyes to smile at the other female. “There.” She began walking again towards the classrooms, in the next wing. “Raw…helped save me from the Witch who’d possessed me. Helped set me free.”
The lights caused her to be distracted for a moment, watching as the light appeared and then disappeared when the shields were up. Already she could feel the pounding of emotions fading. "Raw is a good person. There is much about him that I have to relearn." Bahst replied distractedly as she looked around at the humans they began to pass and she was beyond grateful that Azkadellia had a shield up, because with the headache those little people had given her she wasn't sure she could take much more. As they began to get closer to the classroom she could feel Raw, it was an odd sort of sensation that was hard to describe, but it was comforting as he often was with her.
Az nodded. “He is.” They reached the classroom doors almost too soon. And the Princess smiled at the growing expression on Bahst’s face as they’d gotten closer to where Raw was. “You should be fine from here.” Releasing the Viewer’s hand and mentally giving the shields a minor burst of power, she pulled back. While without her constant upkeep the shields were significantly lowered, Az’d left enough to soften the outside push of emotions. It would fade as time passed, but she had no doubt that Raw would be able to teach Bahst how to build her own over time. “Maybe, sometime when Raw’s busy, we could have lunch?”
Even when the woman released her hand she could feel the shields being kept up lightly, causing her to offer a smile. "Lunch sounds like it would be fun. Thank you for the help.. if you had not arrive those little people would still be twisting my words around for their own purposes." Bahst announced through a thoughtful nod. "I look forward to seeing you again, Az." The word seemed like it was shortened for something, and in the back part of her mind she could remember the name of the Sorceress, but at the same time if the Princess wished to be addressed by a shortened name then that was her own choice.
