One of the former resistance members, Paul laughed. "You tell him the snow mobiles are frozen dead. She says, 'I'll take a dog sled.'"
"A dog sled?" Louise laughed. "Is this girl living in this century?"
"I heard she was going over the pass," Michael remarked.
Louise shook her head. "Don't be ridiculous. Nobody makes it over the pass."
"Fenella went over the pass."
"Boy, you've got to be kidding."
"50 below out there, I froze coming in from my car."
"The guy is certifiable."
"Who'd he go after anyway?"
"You wouldn't believe it," Paul remarked.
"Who?" she prompted, now interested. Paul shook his head. "Somebody's got to tell the Chief."
"That's the Sergeant's job."
"Then tell the Sergeant."
Paul found the sergeant lifting a new water bottle ontop of a dispenser. "Wh-when I lift this, you-you jam your hand down there fast. Ready?"
"Sergeant?"
"Yeah?"
Paul was stopped by the opening the doors. Fenella stepped in, covered in furs and flecks of snow pulling a man with her. She escorted him to a nearby cell. "That's the last time he'll fish over the limit." She remarked to her audience before disappearing into the Chief's office.
Five minutes later, she reappeared with a bemused Chief thanking her for her work. "Thank you, sir."
